I really enjoyed using Deck 1 of Describe Cards for my various creative development pursuits. All The Things has given me even more options and loads of flexibility. I like to storyboard character and plot development on a white board. Using the Activity Board works really well for that. The board has slots that I can slide adjective cards into, which is really helpful on days that I need the organization to complete an arc, but I just can’t pull it all out of thin air. Having a HUGE stack of adjectives lets me make choices around how I need the arc to go, and once I slip them into the board slots, I can go back and work with the questions on each card to flesh the details out further. The Activity Board is big enough to write on, but small enough that I can slip it back in its cover and take it with me, when I’m writing on the run.
I know this set is intended for therapeutic use, though it’s great for creative writing development, as well. It’s well worth the investment.
